Time: 11am-3pm

This event will empower youth and bring the community together. Anyone that is committed to empowering our youth can register.

Event Schedule:

  • Set up 9-10am
  • Registration, light breakfast and resource tables 10:30-11:00am
  • Welcome performances : Dance, spoken word and step team 11-11:45am
  • Workshop 1: 12-12:45pm
  • Lunch 12:45-1:30pm
  • Workshop 2: 1:30-2:15
  • Closing Performances 2:15-3:00pm

The following is a list of the different Workshops available for Sat, June 27th:

  • Personal Interests
    • The Power of Mind and Body. Power of the connection between the ‘mind and the body’. Emphasis will be placed on the loyalty of those athletes who utilized their internal drive to achieve personal success. Demonstration on the internal belief system and the physical equipment needed to practice Martial Arts and Boxing. Peaceful Healing.
    • Technical Voyage. Have a great idea for a website or want to learn to write web code? Explore Web Development and Graphic Design with a professional! Learn how to promote yourself, an idea or a business on the internet. Peaceful Healing
    • Performance Art and Self-expression.  The stage is a sacred place to release your inner-most emotions in a safe and artistic way under imaginary circumstances. If you love to act, sing and/or dance then we have an opening for you to express yourself! Peaceful Healing
  • Self-Awareness and Personal Growth
    • “I am important to my Community!” “I Matter!” This workshop explores the concept of self-worth, the power of affirming who we are and what we want to be in this world, so that we can recognize our community and begin taking actions that lead to its improvement, and improve our state of being.     • Giving Back! I can help my community.  Youth will build leadership skills, self-esteem, learn how to help seniors in their community, be exposed to new people, places and things.   Educate, empower & inspire youth to volunteer & build their character.     • I’m great! I’m unique! We all think differently and we learn in our own way. This work shop will help participants find out what they are interested in. This activity aims to set youth on their way toward developing healthy, productive lives. Team UP!
